Hold on to your seats as we back down memory lane as the late Minnie Riperton would sing...I was asked by Lilybell Mendoza to write an article for this web site of ours, I couldn't say no...done in a shallow way but with deep memories...

Probably because I may have never forgotten the best days of my life which was high school... all you have to do is close your eyes...oops...nah..then you can't read this...just the power of your imaginations and memories are needed...this is just a start...and everyone is welcome to share their food...oops...write articles...give pictures... and share your good times in a life we had called high school..sige..let's go...
 

...shy and naive..."Freshies, O Freshies ... the class of Green and White" ... our song...Acquaintance Party - where we are dressed up in diapers, or something that looks like one... Sanrio song...pass cases with matching statio...Sharon-Gabby, Maricel-William days...singing High School Life...writing our short notes to friends...getting fishy...uso non Sweet Dreams, or Mills and Boons, Gregg shoes mababang medyas...uso din ang One Mile Shoes, Crayons at Otto...songs were like I Don't Want You to Go, Just Once and Sweet Baby...Food...

How about French Fries, sago sa Diners...santol, mais or singkamas sa labas ng Leon Guinto...Intrams...famous Ballet room rehearsing cheers, yells and songs...PE culminating Activity - remember Ice Castles at the Paseo and all that Ms Austria taught us...phew...all the contests...We also had the One Act Play...don naglabasan yung mga artista natin...Christmas Chorus contest, JMD Glee Club had A Song Unending Christmas Cantata...then comes March...by this time hindi na shy...remember the Farewell Seniors presentation at the Concert Hall...seeing Odette Quesada sing at the stage of the Concert Hall...then comes...

...aaah...medyo may alam nah...this was our best year I think for our batch...we won a lot of awards in different contests...still same events, concepts, meetings, rehearsals, learning new songs...gaining more friends...remember biology room - the skeleton - na pinapa-litan natin ang position every day, disect ng frog...the eerie look on the stuffed birds and animals around while taking tests.

Algebra? took me so long to understand (a+b)(a-b)- marami sa atin ang alam lang eh (o+n)!...we did well in Intrams...still going to Ballet room, Concert Hall, buying sampaloc and kornik dun sa maliit na tindahan on the way up...remember watching documentaries and bible stories at the Audio Visual Room...or were you sleeping!!!PE-folk dancing naman...Chorus contest...we had Carol of the Bells..we won 2nd place right...

JMD Glee Club...this was a successful year...had the Himig Contest at CCP,and JMD swing choir...our school won awards for that...we had good basketball players too for PWU WNCAA Team...go Ellen!...remember Flag ceremony having to do cheers...yells like ung...unggawa...with matching elastic cheerdancers jumping up and down...students running late or else,IDs would be confiscated by Mrs. Miranda...having to write "I WILL NOT COME TO SCHOOL LATE AGAIN"...to ask your ID back...binigyan ko ng xerox copy...lagot na bata...kasikatan ni Kuh...hearing Bulaklak and Dito Ba...go Pia...

Junior year...Zapped...the Movie shocked everyone...remember sneaking with your barkada at a friend's house and watching it while the parents are away...may alam na tayo dito...how about statistics...or trigonometry...those were the days of Broadway...different ones...my class had Grease 2...which turned out not to be broadway musical kaya 2nd place lang!...iba pa ang gel non..Food?...naaalala nyo yung papunta sa Chemistry Dept. ng college...Aling Betty, pabili ng isang cheese at isang ham sandwich with matching vendo..

Sapatos...kausuhan ng Sperry topsiders...we had to make bonsai for Practical Arts...i made one...bougainvilla lang nga...songs...King and Queen of Hearts and Got to Believe in Magic...kausuhan ni Boy George at Duran Duran... how about dressing up for our j.s. prom sa paseo...ongoing activities...who will forget the nervous hearbeats while waiting for your turn sa oral exam in Chemistry with Mrs.Miranda....hala...

better check the length of your socks before reciting or else... shakespeare plays and novels with sexy Ms. Elago...Miss Oreta's braided hair... remember our soiree with all the classes of Ateneo...we've discovered BOYS!!...how about COCC training...matira ang matibay..camping sa Batulao...

Senior Year...physics and geometry time...F/M=A (no nga bang ibig sabihin nito, Ms Yu-Hico...hmmmm???) science...math...ang hirap naman...recess na bah?... ...remember being the first batch to go into computers instead of....typing??!!!!...buti na lang. Mr. Menguita and the history of vaccuum tubes and transistors...remember HE Practicum when we had to buy tickets for lunch at the HS kitchen...at least a break from Diners or Jesters...pero...pag hapon...may banana-Q ka pa rin o kaya turon sa tapat ng Nakpil gate...o kaya papasyal sa Robinsons...

big deal non yon...how can we forget CAT on Fridays...black socks....fatigue...naku hair net...it was the day that we had to be nice to the top officers like Sheila Hermoso, Sybil Montegrande and Elaine Villanueva..technic non...dumikit sa officer para you don't have to salute...Batulao camping...intrams pa rin siyempre pero leaders na tayo...we had to pass on what we had learned all those years ago...setting good examples to lower years...more activities...JS Turnover...iyakan sa Paseo...tapos convocations sa concert hall...yipee...

CAT graduation sa Fort Bonifacio...itlog at kamatis?...how about singing We Made It through the Rain habang umiiyak sa Concert Hall for Farewell Seniors...having your uniform signed by everybody...yearbook...graduation ball..ano yun?...we didn't have that...austerity raw!..time rin ng pagkamatay ni Ninoy....now we know! then comes Graduation day..wearing our terno sa Manila Film Center. Off to a new life...without the shelter of the four walls we called home...We learned a lot, didn't we? We made it through the rain...
